This is the mural in the Junior School playground in St Mary’s.
The school council, comprised of two students from each class, decided to base the theme of the work on the school’s house system.
Each house is represented by a gemstone: emerald, sapphire, amber and ruby.
The school council chose to portray the gemstones as cartoon characters engaging in positive activities.
St Mary’s R.C. in Haringey had a huge wall in the infant playground that needed decorating.
Outside-In met with the school council who wanted the birds that each infant class is named after painted in the playground.
